About
In the lovingly restored former Department of Health, comes the chance to immerse yourself in the world of early 20th-century Italian Expressionism. It's a brightly lit, sun-flooded new space that's well worth a couple of hours if you're near the Colosseum and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, on the Esquilino Hill. This small but beautiful museum showcases the collections by Roman builder Claudio Cerasi and his wife Elena. See almost 100 pieces by the likes of De Chirico, Donghi, Capogrossi, Balla, Casorati, Pirandello, Severini, Cambellotti and don't miss Jan Fabre's _Director of the Stars_ in the center of the space. Plug into your optional audio guide for added insights on artists like Severini, Cambellotti, Casorati, and maybe even take your lunch break in the beautiful Bistro.
