About
The Doge's Palace in Genoa is hosting a new international exhibition dedicated to the Flemish artist Anthony Van Dyck, who owes part of his artistic development to Genoa itself. On display are over 50 works from Europe’s largest and most prestigious museums, including the Louvre in Paris, the Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, and the National Gallery in London, as well as Italian institutions such as the Uffizi Gallery, the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, and the Royal Museums of Turin, as well as international foundations and collections. Standouts among these include two early self-portraits, portraits of elegant Genoese, Antwerpian, and English ladies, and works commissioned by King Charles I of England. You can also choose the 'Exhibition + Apericena' ticket to top off your experience with an aperitivo at a historic venue starting at 17:00. Located in the Piazza delle Erbe, in the city center, it’s just a short walk from Palazzo Ducale.
