Learn about Denmark during World War II at the Museum of Danish Resistance in Copenhagen.

The exhibition follows the experiences of four resistance fighters and one Danish Nazi during the German occupation from 1940 to 1945. Through interactive activities, visitors can listen to tapped phone calls, try decoding German messages, and see how illegal magazines were produced during the war.

The museum also displays objects from the occupation period, including the execution poles from Ryvangen, where resistance fighters were executed, and a coat worn by the resistance fighter known as "Flammen."

The exhibition focuses on the difficult choices people faced during the occupation. For many Danes, deciding whether to support the resistance was complicated and carried serious risks and consequences.

The five historical figures featured in the exhibition each chose a different path, and their stories show how those decisions affected their lives.
